Yesterday we celebrated our friendship of Myriam Copens, rather than her departure back to Belgium. Dot put on a big spread of wine, nibblers and friendship bread for dessert. How appropriate!. We got to see a copulative journal of Myriams art papers bound into a book full of memories of her time spent here in Louisville. I think she really liked it. I know I enjoyed making it for her and so appreciated the collaborative effort of everyone making sentimental tags to add to the pages.
After that we moved upstairs to Dot's FABULOUS studio. It couldn't have been more charming with all her personal special touches. What a treat that was. She needs to send pictures to STUDIO'S Magazine. Everyone should be able to share in her art space.
Then on to the basement where Dot shared some of her past life. Well, we'll just leave that one alone!
For those who couldn't make it, you missed out on a really fun day. We certainly laughed a lot. Thank you so much Dot for opening up your beautiful home to all of us.
